Applicants must commit to a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle and be able to cover monthly housing fees through SSI/SSDI, employment income, private funds, or approved vouchers. All applications are reviewed confidentially and carefully.
Can applicants be referred to Second Chance Living?

What is the application process?
To apply:
● Complete an application and provide required documents (such as ID and proof of income)
● Participate in a brief background screening
● Once approved, pay the first month’s program fee
● Move in and begin your next chapter
● Drug test will be administered before entry
● Once approved, Deposit/First Month program fee
Applications are typically reviewed within 24–48 hours for qualified individuals seeking housing.
What is included in the monthly program fee?
Residents’ fees cover:
● A drug- and alcohol-free environment
● Fully furnished shared housing (bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom)
● Utilities, high-speed internet, and Wi-Fi
● On-site washer and dryer
● Cleaning supplies and household necessities
● Safe, quiet, and secure shared spaces
● Keyless entry with individual codes or fingerprints
● Secured Security System
● 24 hrs Cameras inside and outside of the home (inside common areas only Kitchen, Den, Hallways Living room front and back door
Our goal is to provide a stable, safe, and comfortable living environment where residents feel supported.
Are there any additional costs?
Yes. A one-time, non-refundable community fee ($300) is required upon acceptance. This covers setup and administrative expenses.
Residents are responsible for their own food and transportation during their stay.
What are the house rules and expectations?
To maintain a safe and respectful community, residents are expected to:
● Refrain from drugs, alcohol, and weapons
● Respect quiet hours and shared spaces
● Pay program fees on time
● Keep both personal and common areas clean
● Follow security procedures
● Avoid overnight guests (professional visitors require prior approval)
Failure to follow guidelines may result in warnings, corrective agreements, or removal from the program. These rules ensure a safe and positive environment for all residents.
Is there a curfew?
Yes. Second Chance Living observes quiet hours and a structured curfew to maintain a peaceful and respectful atmosphere. Specific times are reviewed during move-in orientation.
Are rooms private or shared?
● All rooms are shared (two residents per bedroom)
● Every room is fully furnished
● Each resident receives a personal access code or fingerprint entry
● Shared access to kitchen, bathrooms, dining, and living areas
Room assignments are based on availability, compatibility, and individual needs.

What type of housing is this?
Second Chance Living provides independent shared housing for self-sufficient adults in transition. While no personal care services are offered, residents benefit from a structured, affordable, and supportive living environment designed to help them move forward.
How long can someone stay?
Residents sign a month-to-month agreement. There is no set limit on how long someone may remain in the program, as long as they follow community standards, pay fees on time, and remain in good standing. This flexible approach allows individuals to focus on their goals without the stress of long-term commitment. Residents may leave at any time with proper notice, ensuring a smooth transition.
